I mentioned in a previous recipe post that I frequently get asked questions about what foods I eat because of the industry I work in. I will elaborate more about my experience with this.

Harmonizing the connection within oneself.

Let me start out by saying that I am a total foodie... I love food! I'm that friend who constantly thinks about it and is excited for the next meal... I have always been this way.☺

Through my personal journey, I have learned that food plays a major role in the connection between my mind/body and my heart/spirit. When I choose foods that assist me in creating harmony and balance, I am better connected within myself spiritually and with CLARITY. I feel this is essential, so that we can truly honor ourselves with positive thoughts, feelings, choices and daily decisions.

It is easy to overlook and ignore what our hearts and bodies are telling us... We often give in to our fear, ego, emotional fixes and addictions with food... This can often turn into a twisted cycle of total disconnection within oneself.

I have experimented often enough to feel the difference. It is amazing how much clearer and connected I am when I feed my body foods that fuel it with maximum nutrition, nourishment and BALANCE... while still enjoying life.

My response to what foods I eat is quite simple...

Forget counting calories or carbs and all that other shmack! LISTEN to your body! Honor and love yourself with quality foods that are given to us so graciously from Mother Earth... Our minds, bodies, hearts and spirits NEED, WANT and DESERVE to feel good! 

May we all embrace ourselves by treating our bodies with constant love and kindness... both internally and externally. We deserve nothing less and that's the TRUTH!❤

Make your own rules!

Being in the modeling industry exposes a person to a lot of opinions. Through my personal experience, I have been at the receiving end of these opinions quite often... Some that are encouraging and some that are of course the opposite. Even though most models are aware of this and it is to be expected in the industry, it can definitely feel confusing. Everybody experiences this in their own ways through their personal day-to-day lives.

Let's go back to the key word spoken here... "OPINIONS"... Our individual opinions or perceptions are our own personal truths, but will NEVER be universal truth... This is an incredible tool to remember when dealing with the opinions, expectations and thoughts by society and others around us!... And this is what is truly beautiful about the strength and continual growth of personal power and self-love... When we live our lives constantly honoring ourselves within, society will never be able to touch us in that vulnerable and personal place that causes us to question ourselves. We should always seek to respect and allow others to think and have opinions of their own, but we must remember that we never have to adopt them as our own... IT IS OUR CHOICE TO CHOOSE.

HOW EMPOWERING AND AMAZING IS THIS FOR ALL OF US? I have learned a lot through my personal ups and downs, my high moments and low moments, to constantly strive toward loving and honoring myself by practicing the avoidance of allowing influence (or opinions) of others to define or determine my opinion of myself. This applies to both the positive and the negative.

We have the freedom and get to choose what defines us and creates the untouchable and unstoppable (true) beauty within. This process will ALWAYS start within and ONLY within... We could hear and take note of a million encouraging comments from others a day, and sure, these will help us feel better about ourselves, but it will never substitute the need we each have to build and create a relationship of unconditional love for ourselves based and built PURELY off what we ALREADY POSSESS WITHIN. 

I continue to experience challenging moments in my personal journey and they have been my greatest teachers... I continue to push through these barriers every single day and I have MUCH confidence that everyone can push through their personal barriers also. We can and must do this! We each DESERVE the freedom of self-love, self-acceptance and inner-peace knowing that at end of the day, it is our standards and only our standards that define our destiny.❤

LOVE>FEAR

Every single one of us is created for greatness! No matter who we are or where we come from, we are each born with the amazing gift of divine purpose.

Deep within our hearts and spirits, we know this to be our truth... But because of the complexities of life, it is often a challenge to stay out of our ego and fear-based thoughts that prevent us from continuing to discover and embrace this divine essence.

The common obstructing thought is, "What if I fail?" This thought stems solely from ego and from the very root of fear... We must keep our focus purely on trust!

Trusting the divine...

Trusting ourselves...

And trusting the process of life!

Fear is the cancer of achieving our greatest potential! And by greatest potential, I am not referring to temporal gain such as money, possessions, fame, power, etc... But simply to the purest love and goodness that we can spread using these individual gifts and divine talents. We must remember that every single person is born with these and when we come together as one using them for the greater good of the world, we create LOVE... And LOVE will always conquer fear!❤

Winds of change...

If you've been following my Twitter feed, I've been lightly tweeting about signs and feeling the winds of change...

My time has been cut short in Europe... This is for many reasons, but all of which are good and much to be grateful for...

I'm a big believer in the idea that everything happens for a reason... Going to Turkey has been one of the most beautiful and challenging experiences of my life... I will never forget it. I know without a single doubt that I was meant to be there at the exact time I was. All that I experienced was truly invaluable and I am grateful beyond words! My experience tested me down to my very core and spirit!!! This chapter of my life's journey has added strength and power to the love I have for life and all the beauty she possesses...

I want to finish with this final thought... 

God is real. He is SO aware of every single one of us... He truly, truly is! Our thoughts, concerns, emotions, lives and everything in our hearts matter to Him. I thank God for the continued growth of knowledge and assistance that He shows me every single day... The timing... The miracles... The love... My heart is full. 

I post a lot about faith over fear... but through my personal journey I am learning more and more about it... And how incredibly IMPORTANT this is for each of us! Faith and fear cannot coexist... We must do our best to stay out of ego and be present within OUR HEARTS at all times! Sending my most sincere love and hope to all... May we let go of our fear and may we always trust and see our limitless value, potential and worth as God does... Simply because we exist.❤

Hold the Vision & Trust the Process!

Been working on this a lot lately! I often find myself wondering or second guessing that I'm on the right path with where I need to be in life to fulfill my divine purpose. Working in the modeling industry has definitely added to this because I'm not always sure that the two go hand in hand. But what I do know for certain is that fear will never offer me this trust... In fact, it works quite the opposite by disconnecting me within myself and all around me. Staying out of the fear has opened many doors in allowing confirmation and trust toward the path that I'm on.

It is only when we set aside the fear that fills our minds with garbage that we can hear and take notice of the incredible answers and opportunities that are given to us... Maybe not at the exact time we would like to receive them, but they will always be there as we exercise trust and allow them to be. It is when we practice this, we watch life unfold for our greater good... We are never, ever alone. I feel so much peace and gratitude for this knowledge and also for my own personal challenges and life experiences that continue to teach me every single day. Sending faith, love and TRUST to all my brothers and sisters of the world... May we all continue to let go of our fear and rise to our greatest potential.❤
